Backstory of Sentience Retreats

Backstory of Sentience Retreats *
My name is Joey Bothwell, and while you might find traces of a past life in film and dance if you Google me, what defines me far more deeply is the path I’ve walked in relentless pursuit of joy, curiosity, and what it means to truly be myself. I’ve sacrificed the safety of stability and convention to become someone who feels like home to herself, and now, to create Sentience Retreats and help others do the same.
Through laughter, tears, healing practices, and a whole lot of trial and error, I’ve cultivated a way of being that helps people glow. I can offer you presence, support, and hard-won tools for the journey. There’s no shortcut to becoming who you’re meant to be, but you don’t have to do it alone.
I don’t have a polished title, but I’ve become the kind of human who helps others remember the best parts of themselves, feel safe in their own skin, and reclaim their right to authenticity; a word so often misused, yet still the closest thing to describing what I live for.
